The Staff, together with the Board of Trustees and Parent-Teacher Association, welcome you to Blockhouse Bay Primary School.

We encourage you to participate in the life of the school. You will find numerous opportunities to do so.   Such   opportunities include special school occasions, fundraising, parent interviews, library assistance, help with school field trips and within the classrooms. Participation in activities such as these will enable you to become familiar with the school and its community, and to experience the vitality of the school as a learning place.

One cannot separate the home and the school learning environment, as the two combine to make a happy, well adjusted student. The teacher gives professional assistance, encouragement and advice and has a major role in the student’s development. The school has a part to play in the growing up process of your child, but this is done in tandem with the home.
