Becoming principal of such a great school was better than winning Lotto! Blockhouse Bay School has an excellent reputation and I am looking forward to working with the community to ensure that the children receive the best possible education.
My first teaching position was at Papatoetoe Intermediate in 1983 and since then I have taught from Years 1-8 in city and rural schools. I first became a Principal in 1996 and Blockhouse Bay is my 4th principal’s position.
My wife LeAnne is an office manager and we have two daughters – one works as a receptionist and our eldest teaches at a primary school in Christchurch.
I am one of the lucky people who enjoy their job and can’t wait to get to work each morning. My main professional goal is to create the conditions that allow our talented teaching team to operate at the highest possible level, ultimately delivering an outstanding primary school education to our children.

Personal Information	Married to Andrea for 22 years, father of 5 children, 3 have completed Primary school, and 1 who currently attends the school 3 years as Secretary of the Board of Trustees Lived in Blockhouse Bay for the past 19 years Past member of BHB Baptist Kindergarten Management Committee for 6 years Past Member of the BHB Primary PTA for 6 ½ years, 2 1/2 years as Chairman.

Personal Information	I have been teaching at Blockhouse Bay Primary School since 2002 in the senior syndicate. I am originally from Green Bay, but spent 7 years out of Auckland, studying at Lincoln University, teaching in Japan (JET programme) and studying at Christchurch Teacher’s College of Education.
Other	I have been at this school for over 5 years, evidence that it is a good school. The staff at this school are wonderful and supportive to work with. Needless to say, the children are absolute gems!

Personal Information	Married to Aroha with 3 children , all of whom attended BHB Primary .Mad Warriors Fan . Interests are Rugby League , Touch Rugby and you guessed it , Rugby . Awesome school and an awesome community . Go the All Blacks !

Personal Information	Married to Sue for 21 years and we have two children, James (12) who completed Year 6 at Blockhouse Bay in 2006 and Emma, 9 who is currently in Year 5. Have been involved in the banking and finance industry for 27 years. Our family moved to Blockhouse Bay in 1997 and really enjoy living in this community. Have also been involved with the school PTA since 2002 and could not have asked for a better learning environment for our children.
Other	Interests include all sports, but primarily rugby & cricket (these days as a spectator) and golf along with recreational running.

Personal Information	Married (de facto) to William for 10 years; mother to Carl (currently Yr 3); step-mother to 2 young adults! I have lived in Auckland for 6½ yrs (ex South Africa). I am a qualified, NZ registered, high school Chemistry Teacher. I am an educator at heart but choose to work part-time so I can be more involved in Carl’s education and our local community.
Other	More than 20 years work experience in various fields, incl: banking secondary & tertiary teaching of chemistry and physics (in South Africa & NZ) pharmaceutical sales (South Africa) sales experience in NZ with an educational publishing company, and currently, with Fuji Xerox. Previously involved with Auckland Playcentre Association in officeholder positions at Eden-Epsom & Titirangi Playcentres. During this time I underwent Te Reo and Te Tiriti o Waitangi training.
